End Of WSOP

I busted out of main event early on day 2 bleh bleh bleh. I ended up having 2 cashes for 34k total (13th place in 5k nl/limit and 16th place in 1500 6max) so i lost money at the wsop but I got 5th in the Fulltilt 750k for 31k a week before the main event. That online score put me up barely for the trip which is really nice. I cant wait for the WCOOP now.

WSOP Event #2 1500NL

I noticed nobody at the table and it was obviously a very weak table. I was opening anything playable and playing alot of pots trying to hit a big one. I was fighting with this other guy 2 to my left for control over the table. My stack was yoyo-ing from 2500 to 3500. You only start with 3k and 60bbs so i double up early is key. I opened 8Tdd utg to 150 at 25/50 LP called and bb called. flop was 997dd i bet 350 LP called and bb check raised to 1100 it was obv he had 9 but i cant fold in this spot given the odds and the horrible structure. I shoved and he had 96ss. Turn was 2d and river was 7. Nice tease of course.

0 for 2 cashing, -$11,500 in losses so far

WSOP First Event 10k Pot Limit Holdem

My starting table consisted of david singer, ted lawson, chad brown, 2 unknowns who were decent/kind of weak, mike sexton, kevin sung? i think, andy bloch. I felt like i played perfect poker up to my busto hand. I was picking my spots so well and my bluff success rate was 100% if u dont count contiuation bets.

I only played 2 orbits at my new table when my bustout hand happened. I had no reads on the guy so it was a really marginal spot i should have avoided against a guy i dont know much about. Here is the pokernews hand history:

DeWitt is Crippled
Jason DeWitt was facing a pot-sized bet of 95,000 from David Stroj on a 6c8c4sJs board. After some long thought, DeWitt decided to put Stroj all in, as he had only a few thousand behind. Stroj quickly made the call. Stroj showed AA and DeWitt showed 77. The river was the Qh and Stroj doubled up to over 290,000. DeWitt has been crippled and now has under 8,000 chips remaining.

The MasterJ Theory in effect "No one folds a pair and a gutty"

So I bust 41th place when they are paying 36 spots (23k for cashing). This is the 2nd 10k event in a row i bubbled weeeeeeeeeeeee

Big runs in the sunday tournies

I had one of my best runs in the stars million and fulltil 750k gtd. I ended busting a little over 300th place after losing a huge pot for a top 10 stack in stars. i had AcJh against QQ on board of J94ccc. I then bubbled the final table of the fulltilt 750k gtd in 11th place. I busted on a standard hand shoving 77 with 11bbs and got called by TT. I think i only made one mistake the whole tourney which was this hand.

I made a big bluff before the money but i dont consider that one a bad bluff. On this hand the guy was opening alot of pots so im gonna defend everytime with a hand like QJs. I should have realized as soon as he checked back on flop he wasnt folding. He was type of guy who would have bet that flop with hands like AQ, J9, 22. When he checks the flop there he is almost always going to call down. Although the river was a scare card its still a bad bluff since hes in call down mode.

OH WOW A POST!

Poker has been going better lately after being down 43k after aussie millions. Im on pace for my goal to make enough to play 100k in events at wsop. I won the ubet 200k a week ago for $45k. This is the 3rd time i have won this tourney and i have gotten 2nd in it twice. I think it might have been the best tourney i have ever played from the money bubble to the end. All of my sick bluffs worked. Its too bad i couldnt save some of the hands. My reads were so dead on.

Here was one of the hands with 50 left. Blinds are 2k/4k i have 135k which was near the top of the leaderboard bb has around 80k. i limp in sb with 36cc he checks in bb. flop was 775 rainbow i check he instantly bets the minimum 4k which i took as a sign of weakness from the instant bet so i call. turn is a 9 which gives me a double gutter i lead for 9k he raises to 22.5k after very little thought. i didnt think he had a 7 on flop so i dont see what he would raise for value here besides 68 for the straight so i obviously jam and he folds pretty fast.

I also recently went to the new casino in New Buffalo, MI which is like a hour away from where i live. I heard it would be like the 3rd biggest casino if it was in vegas. My friends were the ones that actually asked me to go. A couple of them have a slots addiction apparently. I played roulette while i was there. I think i found a new addiction. I lost my first $300 and was about to quit i only had $80 left but a few friends went to the bathroom so i decided to let it ride and hit a rush.
i was putting money on double zero all night and i was down to my last $20 i put it all on double zero. booooooooooom! ship the $700 it was so due. i have never been a fan of tables games but i have definitely found a likening for roulette now, such a great rush playing it.

The lesson learned from this post is always always always gamble to your last dollar.
